On Saturday 8th June IFHP Centenary Congress delegates will have the opportunity to visit the world's first Garden City at Letchworth. The tour will allow delegates to explore the planning and architecture of Raymond Unwin and Barry Parker, and learn about the benefits and challenges of the Garden City governance model today. The tour will also include a visit to one of the Garden City's more contemporary housing developments, which aim to apply the Garden City principles to 21st Century low carbon housing design. There are limited places on the tour which costs £62.00. This includes guides, refreshments and return transport from central London. Because the package includes travel, we are required to account for it under the Tour Operators’ Margin Scheme rules for VAT purposes. Accordingly, invoices and receipts will not include VAT. This event is kindly being hosted by the Letchworth Garden City Heritage Foundation. Further details will be provided shortly. If you have any specific queries about the tour please contact Michael Mclean at Michael.Mclean@tcpa.org.uk or on (0044) 207 930 89 03. | |
