Finance & Membership Officer   

The Town and Country Planning Association is a small but influential charity that campaigns for the reform of the UK’s planning system to make it more responsive to people’s needs and aspirations and to promote sustainable development. We campaign for a good affordable home for everyone, in a high quality environment.

We are recruiting for a finance and membership officer to provide vital financial administration and database support and be the first point of contact for our members.

There are three elements to the role:

Firstly, financial administration. Working closely with our accountants to log payments in and out of the bank account; raise invoices; and manage payments received through the website.

Secondly, to be the first point of contact for TCPA members; to help recruit new members; to keep the membership database up-to-date and generate reports from it; to process membership renewals.

Thirdly, to manage and develop the database and train colleagues in how to use it. We intend to commission a new database soon and would welcome applications from people with a particular interest in, or knowledge of, databases.

The TCPA has a small, friendly team of staff and is based in a great location near St James’ Park and Trafalgar Square. Benefits include generous holiday allowance and pension contribution.
