As part of our New Communities Group programme of events, this half-day seminar will provide an opportunity to learn about different approaches to accelerate the delivery of homes in large scale new communities. We will hear about lessons from the past New Towns and Garden Cities, current Development Corporations, and modern approaches such as offsite manufacturing.

The role local authorities can play will be explored, as commissioner, partner and developer, and the tools they can use to fast track and streamline planning, as well as ways to encourage developers to build.

Confirmed speakers include:

  • Katy Lock, Projects & Policy Manager (Garden Cities & New Towns), TCPA
  • Tom Walker, Deputy Chief Executive, Homes England
  • Chris Tinker, Executive Board Director & Regeneration Chairman, Crest Nicholson
  • Mark Pullin, Chief Planning Officer, Ebbsfleet Development Corporation
  • Claire Wood, Enabling Programme Manager, Strategic Housing Enabling Team, South Gloucestershire Council

Price: £50+vat (£60) for TCPA Members; £100+vat (£120) for non-members; FREE for TCPA New Communities Group members.
