In the context of demand for new homes, Government has placed a huge emphasis on the challenges of ‘traditional’ construction techniques due to the need to deliver at speed, skills shortages in the sector and the need to build homes more sustainably. Modern Methods of Construction (MMC) have the potential to overcome those challenges – there is a rise of confidence that it will play a greater role in home building.

This seminar will launch a new TCPA guide on MMC, as part of the TCPA’s Practical Guide series, to provide local authorities and their private sector delivery partners with an introduction to using them in larger scale sites. The guide gives an overview of the opportunities and challenges of using MMC at scale, signposts detailed technical information and shares learning through case studies.
