As part of the Planning for Inclusive Communities in London project, the TCPA is running free training events specifically for local planning authority officers in London. These trainings aim to help officers have a better understanding of how planning policy can better support social and economic inclusion and contribute to reducing inequalities. This training is being run in collaboration with the West London Alliance.

Learning outcomes:

  • Improve understanding of how planning policy can support inclusion and equalities
  • Improve understanding of the Equalities Act 2010 and how it relates to planning policy
  • Improve understanding of the role of Equalities Impact Assessments in planning policy development

Who is the training aimed at?

Local planning authority officers in London, this includes but is not limited to:

  • Planning policy officers
  • Equalities officers
  • Officers working more broadly in planning, regeneration or related areas, with a specific interest or focus on inclusion and equalities

This training is being run in collaboration with the West London Alliance, however officers from all Local Planning Authorities in London are very welcome to attend.

The training will take place in Ealing Town Hall, Committee Room 1. The nearest train station is Ealing Broadway, which is a 13 min walk from Ealing Town Hall. A public car park with 110 spaces can be found across the road from the Town Hall. Committee Room 1 is on the ground floor and is accessible for wheelchair users.
