28th October : 4:30 pm – 6:30 pm
This report launch and panel debate will share key findings, alongside policy and practice recommendations arising from the final research report of the ‘Investigating the Health Impacts of Permitted Development Housing in England’ (IHIPHE) project led by the UCL Bartlett School of Planning – funded by National Institute for Health Care Research (NIHR).
This research follows on from the TCPA’s Healthy Homes parliamentary event earlier this year, where Professor Ben Clifford of the Bartlett School of Planning, gave a preview into the impact of PDR housing on health.
The afternoon debate will be followed by a drinks reception and will take place at RICS Surveyors House on Wednesday 28 October 2026. The audience will include representatives from central and local government, the media, as well as key sector actors.
