Planning Aid for London planning advisory service

Together with planning support community service Planning Aid for London (PAL) the TCPA is running a project to expand PAL's services to offer free help and training to communities and individuals in London who need independent advice on planning matters.

To make an enquiry and get advice, please go to Planning Aid for London's website. For regular updates on the project, follow @PlanAidLondon on Twitter.

Over the period of three years, the project will create the following resources and services:

  • Build up of PAL's helpline by expanding PAL's volunteering network of qualified planners and legal specialists.
  • Close collaboration and coordination with other agencies and networks providing support to communities on planning
  • Long-term support and detailed casework with community groups based in areas undergoing high levels of development.
  • An online hub bringing together resources on community planning and participation
  • New accessible resources and factsheets on planning matters
  • Partnerships with other institutions to raise the profile of community planning and participation

Are you interested in volunteering for PAL, provide critical planning support to communities and get first-hand experience in community planning? Contact [email protected] or go to PAL's webpage for volunteers.

If you have any questions on the project, or would like to discuss opportunities for collaboration, please contact the Project Manager Koen Rutten at [email protected]

You can find resources about inclusive planning policies here.

This project benefits from the valuable input of a steering group. The TCPA and PAL would like to thank the steering group members for their ongoing contributions:
