Using this guidance
This new edition of the climate guide is formed of a series of topic resources grouped under the headings of: introduction and policy context, climate mitigation, and climate adaptation.
Each grouping has an introductory resource, and we recommend that these are read prior to the more detailed nation and topic resources. These are listed first in each section below and are:
- Policy and Context – Planning for the climate crisis: Introduction
- Mitigation – Carbon Literate Planning
- Adaptation – Planning for long-term adaptation
Once the introductory resources are understood, the topic resources can be read as a collection, or in isolation. Links are made from the resources to indicate where more detailed guidance on related issues can be found within the suite of resources.
