Briefing for House of Lords Committee Stage of the Levelling Up and Regeneration Bill

The principal rationale for the Healthy Homes amendments (188; 394-399) is to address the absence of any statutory requirements that promote health and well-being across the entire regulatory landscape with regard to the built environment.  The amendments establish an overall obligation on the Secretary of State to consider these principles in policy making.
