The TCPA will be running several online training sessions running from September to December, covering planning topics in relation to the new NPPF.
The Government’s new National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF) was published on August 17th setting the direction of a whole new generation of local and strategic plans.
As part of the TCPA’s new chapter under new leadership this training programme is designed to support the sector make the most of the new National Planning Policy Framework to support the delivery of climate resilient and healthy places.
Sessions will include:
- General planning reform update and implications of the new plan-making system
- Update on decision-making for councillors and elected members
- Topic specific updates on healthy placemaking
- Updates on planning for climate change adaptation and mitigation as well as carbon
- An update specifically aimed at parish councillors and clerks
