13th October : 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm
National Grid has commissioned the Town and Country Planning Association (TCPA) to run two webinars for those already registered as interested parties to engage as effectively as possible with the Suffolk SeaLink Devolopment Consent Order (DCO) Examination through the Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects (NSIP) planning process.
The Town and Country Planning Association (TCPA) is an independent charity with a vision for homes, places and communities in which everyone can thrive. We work to empower people to have influence over decisions about their environments. The TCPA is providing impartial advice to registered interested parties on a limited basis on behalf of National Grid, providing independent support on the examination process. Please note, neither National Grid nor the Planning Inspectorate will be attending the webinar or have been involved in preparing its content.
We will be joined by a representative from the Suffolk Association of Local Councils (SALC) in the webinar as they have published Getting to Grips with NSIPs: advice for town and parish councils on NSIPs.
The aim of these webinars will be to provide practical tips and guidance on how registered interested parties can engage with the examination of the development consent order application. They will not be to help inform people about the project itself as that information is available elsewhere, and they are not an opportunity to discuss the merits of the project in detail.
Please note: this webinar will not provide information about the project, and is not suitable for those who have not already registered as of 18 September as interested parties. You can check if your organisation has registered as an interested party on the Planning Inspectorate website.
Please register to attend here.
