This recording is from the launch webinar for the TCPA’s suite of Community Planning Guides on climate action at the local level. The resources were published as part of the TCPA’s Practical Hope: Inspiration for Community Action series.
By exploring a range of case studies from around the country, we aim to highlight how local communities across the UK are putting sustainable planning principles into practise and making real change happen on the ground. The guides cover three of the most pressing issues facing communities in relation to climate change: flood risk, overheating and retrofit.
The webinar features a range of speakers: Madeleine Jennings (Head of Policy and Communications, Local Trust), Tracey Garrett (CEO, National Flood Forum), Polly Turton (Head of Climate Action and Public health, Shade the UK), Steven Cole (Retrofit Projects Manager, Centre for Sustainable Energy) and Lachlan Anderson-Frank (Projects and Policy Manager) and Hugh Ellis (Director of Policy) from the TCPA.
