22nd September : 11:30 am 12:30 pm

Session purpose:

The Government’s new National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF) was published on August 17th setting the direction of a whole new generation of local and strategic plans. There are also a wide range of other changes to national policy which continue to be implemented.

This training session will give attendees an in depth understanding of the new NPPF and what it means for the planning system as well as give an update on wider planning reforms.

Key changes in the publication draft provide hooks for ambitious communities, councils and their development partners to plan for climate resilient and healthy places. This session is designed to equip local authorities with the tools to secure progressive outcomes while navigating the new planning system and associated policy.

Who is this training for?

This session is targeted at planning practitioners, local authority officers and those interested or working in the planning space.

This session can contribute to your Continued Professional Development – and you can request a CPD certificate after attendance on the course.

Format: Online, Zoom, September 22nd 11:30am – 12:30pm
