In 1901, the Garden Cities Association (later the Town & Country Planning Association) held a conference in Bournville aiming to make the Garden City vision a reality.
In 2023, the TCPA and the Tomorrow 125 project partners returned to Bournville, inviting communities, charitable trusts and foundations, thought leaders and urbanists to understand how to realise the Garden City vision today. The Bournville Symposium explored whether we can agree on the basic building blocks of flourishing lives and what this means in the context of real places.
