Your Neighbourhood. Your Voice.

Planning can be complicated with many terms, rules and jargon that most people do not understand.

But it does play an important role in creating the places that we see and use every day, so it is important to try and engage with it. Planning Aid for London’s new guide ‘Your Neighbourhood. Your Voice.’ has been produced to help people understand the role of planning and how they can get involved.

This guide explains:

  1. Why planning is important.
  2. The role of Central government in planning.
  3. The role of Regional government in planning.
  4. The role of Local government in planning.
  5. How you can partake in planning (and examples of other community groups that have done this successfully).
